O'FALLON, Ill. - For the fourth day in a row, a significant health care provider in Illinois is experiencing a major system outage. It's a problem for several facilities. The problem is impacting facilities operated by the 'Hospital Sisters Health System,' or HSHS. The group operates multiple facilities in Illinois and Wisconsin, including St. Elizabeth's Hospital. An online post from HSHS says that a system outage has temporarily taken virtually all operating systems offline. The HSHS posting does not specify which exact systems are impacted, but the Belleville News Democrat reported that the outage involves websites, internet service, telephones, and computer applications. When checking the main HSHS website, all that came up was a message about the outage. Someone did answer when we called St. Elizabeth's. However, the person acknowledged that the problems are ongoing, and they are doing what they can to help people. Helen Mirren shines as Israeli prime minister during trying time in “Golda” | Movie review

Published Thu, 06 Mar 2025 04:15:01 GMT

It’s wonderful to see Helen Mirren taking on a meaty role into which she can sink her highly talented teeth. In recent years, the acclaimed English actor has been spending some of her on-screen time bringing a little bit of class to movies in the “Fast and Furious” franchise. And last year she showed up in borderline-unwatchable DC Extended Universe affair “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.” (As the DCEU is no more, let us simply never speak of that one again.)Now, though, Mirren, who earned an Academy Award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in 2006’s “The Queen,” portrays another significant figure in the last several decades of world history.“Golda” — a sturdy if not-quite-stellar drama already in theaters in select markets and going wider this week — sees Mirren as Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, the only woman to hold the position. With the help of excellent work from costume designer Sinéad Kidao (“Small Axe”) and hair and makeup supervisor Karen Hartley Thomas (“The Courier”), ...

Sean Payton gave Courtland Sutton the Michael Thomas role in Broncos’ new offense. Can he approach the former All-Pro’s production?

Published Thu, 06 Mar 2025 04:15:01 GMT

The throw was beautiful, but the catch was just as glamorous.During an intense round of 11-on-11 at Broncos training camp, quarterback Russell Wilson glanced down the sideline to see wide receiver Courtland Sutton attempting to create separation from cornerback Pat Surtain II on a go-route. When Sutton beat out his All-Pro teammate by an inch, Wilson threw a pretty spiral to the sixth-year veteran, who corralled the ball with two hands. At that moment, the 2019 version of Sutton, who recorded 1,112 receiving yards and went to the Pro Bowl, had reemerged.Sutton spent the offseason working on his body to return to the player he was four seasons ago. He also studied New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, because that’s the vision Broncos head coach Sean Payton has for him. With Tim Patrick (torn left Achilles) out for the season once again, it’s now more important than ever that he fills that role.“The ultimate goal is to be the best wide receiver that I can be,” Sutton said. “...

Could this be Creek’s best shot at getting the elusive “W”? Week 1 certainly offered few clues. While Valor lost a nail-biter at Regis Jesuit that saw Eagles QB Asher Weiner compile 264 yards on 20-of-34 passing with one TD and one interception, Creek sat idle after its Week 1 opponent was forced to forfeit. Will that translate into early-game rust for Creek? No. 9 Arapahoe (1-0) vs. 4A No. 9 Heritage (0-1)When/where: 7 p.m. Friday at LPS StadiumLast meeting: Arapahoe 24, at Heritage 14, Sept. 2, 2022It appears the Arapahoe defense is salty once again.
